HP Notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

every time I power my laptop, error code 601 will appear. I try to remove the battery and run my laptop with the power cord plug. The error disappears but when I insert the battery again the error appears again. I try the battery test but it shows an error and the test stops. So I was wondering if the external battery is the main problem or the system? if it's the external battery then should I buy a new one? if it's the system what should I do? Badly need help. Thank you!

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are getting a battery error notification on startup.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

It looks like the battery on the computer is gone bad and needs replacement. Before we come to conclusion to replace the battery, I recommend you update the BIOS from the below link and check if it helps.

Thank you! It turns out that the battery was the real problem. I tried the solution that you list but none actually works. I ask my IT friend to check my laptop and he told me that the problem was the battery itself. Anyways thank you for your assistance!
