HP Pavilion 13-a006na x360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I own an HP Pavilion 13-a006na x360

Its around 13 months old, never had a problem. Running Win10 64bit

A few days ago I unplugged from the mains to move the laptop and it went off. Plugged back in and noticed that the battery wasn't charging.

I've tried different chargers, kids have HP too, nothing changes it. All 3 chargers tried charge their laptops fine.

When I cursor over the battery, i get '11%..plugged in..battery not charging'

From other posts I've tried uninstalling MS AC Adaptor and MS ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery', then rebooted and scanned for new hardware. Still the same. (I can't do the full test by removing the battery as its a sealed unit).

I've completed the HP Support Assistant Battery Test - shows everything is fine

When plugged into the mains it works fine, as soon as the AC adaptor is removed it will turn off immediately and will not switch on unless the AC is connected

My HP laptop/tablet convertible is now a tiny desktop!

Does anyone have any ideas how to resolve this please?

Many thanks, Steve

Thanks for the reply

I'm now a bit confused....

I ran the battery checker - the HP one from within Windows - and the battery tested 100% okay

I then ran the link you gave, the 'test on boot' and the battery showed a fault  - saying replace

Any ideas?

Thanks

Steve
