Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP (64-bit)

I have had this laptop for less than two years and have taken extremely good care of it. I was using it normally when the left side hinge broke. The screws are all still in place, it looks like the plastic they are screwed through/into sheared off so now the hinge moves but when it does the screen is separated from the top of the laptop. I have seen a lot of other similar issues with this with other people on here. Has anyone had any luck with getting it fixed?

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information such as serial numbers and case details.
