I have an AMD A8-4500M APU 1.9 GHz CPU.  Is it possible to upgrade the cpu?

Thanks

Thank you for your swift response.  I will have to decide if it's worth the trouble.  If nothing else, your pointing me to the service manual for my pc will possibly help with any questions I may have in the future.  I did notice on page 85 and 86 the procedure for removing the cpu.  I didn't realize I would have to disassemble the whole pc to get to the motherboard or the cpu.

Thanks again.

Hi,

You need to change the motherboard too because CPU and motherboard are on one piece. You can use a list on page 74 of the following manual to find out the right part #

I think this would cost you an arm and a leg (means very expensive upgrade).

Regards.
