I have an HP Envy laptop running Windows 11. Automatic Windows update today has disabled my built in Web Camera (HP Tru Vision 5mp). I get an error message " We cant find your camera" Error Code 0xA00F4244. I am not tech savvy, but it looks like HP are not updating the Driver for this camera and it is now incompatible with the Windows 11 update. So essentially a fundamental functionality of this device is now "obsolete" within 2 years of purchase. Surely it is a simple matter for HP to issue a windows 11 compatible update for this camera?
Does anyone else have any solutions for this frustrating issue. Thanks

Try going to the device manager and rolling back the driver.

I have now gone to the link to the post by Raj and followed his advice to roll back to a previous version of Windows (23H2). This was very easy and has solved the problem. Thanks both of you for the help.

This would be a very good time to go to the Device Manager and locate the driver name in the Properties dialogue window.
Find it in the System32 folder and save it to a folder, perhaps on a flash drive, that you create called MyWebCameraDriver and save it.
If you don't do that, you will have to go through the rollback process of the previous version again if you forget and allow Windows to update itself. That is if you manage to catch it within 30 days of the upgrade.
The same driver may work in Windows 11 (24H2)
