Hello,

My HP pointer keyboard has to be replaced. I would like to use a gray no-pointer keyboard as a replacement, but  I'm not sure if the notebook will run correctly.

Does anyone have a clue?

Thanks

That's a custom non-HP product but yes you just do not connect the pointer ribbon cable and use the touchpad. I think very few people even use the pointer stick any more. If you see somebody using it, odds are its a Boomer who remembers the old days of laptops.

All of the keyboards listed in the Manual have a pointing stick included.

I actually found one:  https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002120256047.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.2220edadsQdQfN

Will my computer still function with this pointerless keyboard?

Hey, thanks for your input; I'll take the leap. I'm  keeping my fingers crossed on this one 🤞
