Probook 450 G4
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi there!

I have a HP Probook 450 G4 with an intel core i5 7200u. It is currently using a 2133 mhz ddr4 ram. I want to know wether if I can use a ddr4 2400mhz or 2666 mhz ram. If i can use one of them which would be the most suitable? 2400mhz or 2666mhz?

Thank you.

You can install 2400 or 2666, but it will run no faster than 2133 speed as that is the motherboard's max ability. HP ships its laptops with memory running as fast as the motherboard will allow. Its never an option to increase the memory speed by putting in faster memory. You can add more, but not increase the speed. You also can't have the memory running at a faster latency.
