Thanks for the prompt reply, i have understood the procedure but wanted to ask if there is a way which does not involve taking out the hdd, i am still not quite acquainted with the disassembly of the laptops and still an amature, would not prefer to take out the hdd and then put it back, please help with some other alternative if any. Thankyou for the support and advise.

You have to take it apart to put the M.2 in. The only other way I know to do it would be to clone the hard drive to the M.2. There is free cloning software called Macrium Reflect that will work. The problem is to make the hardware work easier it is going to require more advanced software skills. There is going to be complexity on some level and if you are not comfortable with that I suggest taking it to a technician.
