Please look at page 51 of the Maintenance and Service Guide. You will see the solid state drives that are compatible with your computer.
HP continually improves and changes product parts. For complete and current information on
supported parts for your computer, go to http://partsurfer.hp.com, select your country or region, and then
follow the on-screen instructions.

witch type of ssd i can use in m2 slot because i have M type key in my m2 slot

Hi @moni5088,
The m.2 samsung pro 950 is the correct size and speed, it should work. But HP has not tested with your computer so no guaranty.

I know this is an old dicussion but it seems VERY relevant to what i am doing. all this info led me down the right path, I am now ready to pull the trigger on the m.2 SSD upgrade.
I have just one question if anyone could help me with.
All the evo 850 m.2 SSD that everyone is referring to are 500Gb versions. I want to get the 1Tb version and do the same thing. Is there any reason why a 1Tb version would not work as apossed to a 500Gb.
