I am planning to purchase   the following  laptop from Costco. Would like to know if the RAM is upgradable or not. If yes, could it be upgraded to 32GB??

Yes, according to this discussion the memory is upgradable. 

 

Look at page 2 of the discussion, and you can see the picture of the open notebook with the memory exposed.
