Product: HP Laptop 15
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My laptop used to recognize my android phone when I'd plug it in, but  I went to do so today and it doesn't show it where the other devices are listed, and the phone automatically starts charging instead. Any help on this? Thanks

You have to do 2 things from your phone.

 

  1. Turn ON your phone as a mass storage device ,
  2. You have to allow your phone to be able to access from your machine.

Otherwise your phone won't appear as a device under Windows.
