I have a HP Laptop-14dk1xxx and need to hook up multiple monitors. Can you suggest a docking station would work to make this happen.  I tried a HDMI splitter but it didn't work so looking to get a docking station instead.

HDMI splitter just duplicates the same screen onto two monitors so not much use as a dock. Your USB-C port is data only so if you want to run video from a dock it has to include DisplayLink capability which turns a usb signal into a video signal. Many possible options out there but from US amazon.com this one is good:
