OMEN by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop 16-k0000 (665B4AV)

Hello, I have a 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop 16-k0001 with 1TB ssd, asking if these guys can be upgraded with an extra ssd or should I focus on getting an external drive?

My personal computers were always desktops till a few days ago, I am still afraid to open my (very fresh) notebook's case and see it myself. I guess I'll take a look there in a few months. Thank you for the help.

Actually, all the Omen Alder Lake refreshes have dual gen4.0 slots, as discussed here: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Question-about-ram-and-nvme-be...

As for its manual https://kaas.hpcloud.hp.com/pdf-public/pdf_5972494_en-US-1.pdf it's true that it doesn't mention dual storage, but it's also true that you can see the second SSD m.2 slot on various pages......

obezkirpi, you should read the review of the Omen 16-k0000, and watch its excellent disassembly video here:

There's a first time for everything...... You only have to pay extra attention when taking the bottom cover off, they're very delicate. Post on the forums if you need any extra help.

Take care!

Hey, both your answer and the other (possibly wrong answer) answer are deleted, so if they're deleted by mods, both are wrong?
