HP Envy 15
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I own an HP ENVY 15 notebook. For the past 2-3+ years, the hinge on the left side of my laptop has been broken. This has caused the casing to break. Recently, this has caused many more issues; most importantly, it has caused the computer to overheat and get extremely hot (too hot to sit on my lap without burning). I have reached out to HP many times to get this resolved, but I have only been threatened with fees and reached dead-ends. I've done research on the issue:

It appears as if this is not an uncommon thing, yet there has been no recent response from HP. I use this computer for both school and work and cannot afford a new one at the moment. Any ideas?

I'm also experiencing similar problems with my HP Envy. How do I get in contact with HP about this?

HP Recommended
@erlinnah Don't worry about it. They won't help. Just do yourself and purchase a computer from another manufacturer.

Hi,

I also have the same issue, do you think you could help me too? Both hinges are completely busted.

Not a chance. HP customer support is awful. They do not stand behind their product. Best they'll offer is 25% off a new product. However I found this to be completely useless since I am looking to purchase a computer from a competitor.
