Hello,
I own an HP ENVY 15 notebook. For the past 2-3+ years, the hinge on the left side of my laptop has been broken. This has caused the casing to break. Recently, this has caused many more issues; most importantly, it has caused the computer to overheat and get extremely hot (too hot to sit on my lap without burning). I have reached out to HP many times to get this resolved, but I have only been threatened with fees and reached dead-ends. I've done research on the issue:

https://www.amazon.com/forum/laptop?cdForum=Fx2G99T61XZXSS7&cdSort=newest&cdThread=Tx17F1C95ICEWUA
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9tg7_gsdAU (not my video; example found online)
It appears as if this is not an uncommon thing, yet there has been no recent response from HP. I use this computer for both school and work and cannot afford a new one at the moment. Any ideas?

It has been making a cracking sound when opening and closing for years, but it finally failed.
Hinge on these laptops are faulty.
Wondering if HP can help at all?
Kind regards,
Jonathon
