I have reported the same problem now 3 times that I have same problem as all others on here with a HP Envy laptop with left broken hinge and have yet to have any contact with an HP team member.  I would appriciate some assistance with this matter.  Thank you.

I have a very similar issue, except that the cable for my $1800 custom configured laptop has had this issue for a while... and now the monitor cables have been cut and shorted out... The only way I can use it is to hook it to my TV Via an HDMI cable!! As an A+ technician, I opened it up to see what could be done, and the case around the hinge is all but disintegrating!! Makes me sick to think of what I paid for this and how it's fallen apart!!
