Hello,
I am writing to check if the manufacturer's warranty will cover replacement of back lcd cover and left hinge for the HP Envy 360 Convertible laptop. The bottom left corner of the screen separates from the casing when opening/closing. Unable to close laptop without damaging screen. I have identified the hinge screws separated/broke away from the screw holes. This appears to be a common problem with these hinges and several persons have posted on this subject and appear to have HP reach out to resolve this. Please let me know if HP would have considered this damage due to a defective hinge.
Here are few of the other complaints I have seen from previous threads:

I purchased my son this laptop on Christmas of 2020 and the right hinge has detached internally from the screen. I purchased him a new HP Victus as a replacement a few weeks ago as a graduation gift. It was just under a year and a half after getting it and it seems that there are several other similar complaints about the same problem from other customers. I am hoping you are treating this as a design issue or component defect and still covering them under service. The alternate model number on the laptop is AX201NGW and the [Personal Information Removed]. Please advise how I need to proceed to resolve this issue. Thank you.

Yesterday I encounter this same issue with my HP 360X, the left hinge popped out and two screws suddenly came loose. I tried to access the area where the screws were in order to close it but was unable to fix it. Now the laptop won’t close properly and the screen is slightly cracked. In searching for a solution I found this thread, and am hoping HP can offer sometime of solution since it appears to be a design flaw and my laptop is out of warranty. Can someone please contact me with what I should do?
