I bought a hp 8440p laptop in last month.my laptop developed a peculiar problem. When I connect my charger to it, it starts charging but after sometime it stops and the battery icon shows "Plugged in, not charging". Then after some time it again starts..
Please help me......

HHello,
Do the below steps this should resolve the issue,
1. Under device manger --> uninstall the Microsoft compliance method both one by one.
2. Do a bios update and chipset update
restart the unit
if this doesn't resolve then drain the battery completely and charge the battery

Your "fix" for the described problem is mysterious to me:
"1. Under device manger --> uninstall the Microsoft compliance method both one by one."
Where the hell in my device manager should "Microsoft compliance" be? I have Windows 10, but nothing in my Device Manager says that!!!
I'm ready to throttle to seller of my battery to me; I need it for my laptop to perform for a meeting tomorrow!!!
