Hello,
Since last week, on our HP notebooks, bluetooth pointing devices are not working anymore. Both mice are Microsoft Sculpt Confort and worked perfectly until an update.
Windows 10 can pair with the mouse, clicking and scrolling are possible, but pointing is desperatly dead.
Given this issue is shared on 2 laptops with 2 mice, this can be an addressed issue with a HP bluetooth update. Please note this issue is not happening with a USB linked mouse.
Of course we tried deleting/pairing the mouse, changing batteries, restarting, etc.
Thank you.

well , then buy and HP mouse
if it dont work take it back, try the logitech,
click wireless mouse, and then hp.
some are only $9
did the wired mouse work? if not say so, that means it's not the mouse..
your next PC has no usb ports, just one thunderbolt jack (advace USB it is), then what? have plan. ?
for what's next.
space that limited?

It's not an HP problem.
You need to check which Wireless card your laptops have got, as they provide both Wi-fi and bluetooth functionalies, then by it's serial number download the appropriate latest driver from the manufacturer website.
You'll probably find the card number impressed over the back cover.

Hello.
Thank you for the proposal. On both laptops we have Intel AC 3165 Dual Band Wifi/Bluetooth adapters. With ProSet and BT Manager installed (version 19.71.0) we still face the same trouble, even after reboot/ re-pairing the mice: clicking and scrolling, no pointing.

why not ask Microsoft why there baby fails. (are batteries fresh>?)
the hardware and software is 100% MS. and their driver.
only thing i can say is use a USB mouse until it's BT , is cured.
or go to DM click the bad mouse icon, and click UPDATE driver (be internet connected )so PnP works
or go in to the controls there, in CP, and see if a feature was reset at laST MS update, be smart to look there,
good luck to you
are you running 2 mice, (2 pointing devices ) and not turning off the 2nd,
run only one mouse, as most times 2 fail at same time.
we see this in the Snaptics pads all the time, until they added , pad off. bam usb works on mouse.

Hi.
I am talking about two setups made of 2 HP notebooks with 2 Microsoft mice, distant of 30m that used to work 1 year like this. On both systems, the pointing function of the bluetooth mouse stopped working after a reboot. We tried new batteries, pairing, swaping, updating driver, the problem remains the same: only clicking, no pointing.
Given this happens on 2 configurations at the same time, I believe we can talk about an addressed issue with Intel BT card OR MS Windows 10 update.
I will remove some last updates this afternoon to try.

Hi,
Unless some dwarf dropped some coating on our desks at night, the surfaces are the same since last year. I waited one week trying any possible solution mentionned above before calling help on forums, that's why I think about an adressed issue with an update...

Googled a bit. Seems you're not alone after Creators update.
With a cabled mouse try turning off the Bluetooth and removing every device from the Device manager. Reboot, then turn on and pair the wireless mouse.
