Dear All
I am planning to buy the following laptop from Costco. All features and pricing fits to my budget but the only issue is the RAM.
HP ENVY x360 15-ee0003ca 2-in-1 Laptop
https://www.costco.ca/.product.2191003.html
This comes with a 8GB and I want to upgrade it to 16 or possibly 32. I want to know if it is doable, what is the max this model support and lastly does upgrading the RAM void the manufacturer warranty.
Thanks.

Hi:
The memory is not upgradable in the x360 15-ee0xxx model series.
It is soldered to the motherboard.
I have the x360 15-ee0047nr that comes pre-configured with 16 GB of memory.
Those are the only two memory options HP offered in the model series 8 GB or 16 GB.
The onboard memory is configured to run in DDR mode.

Thanks Paul,
I was misled by a review on Costco Canada product page saying they changed the ram to 32 and it is not soldered.
This is very disappointing to see such laptop coming with only 8GB, (This specific model not offered on costco with 16 GB).
Probably have to start shopping other brands to get the specs I need within my price range.
Thanks again.

You're very welcome.
The service manual is misleading too.
Chapter 1 indicates the memory is soldered to the motherboard (onboard).

Memory Support for DDR4-3200 1.2 v, nonupgradeable, onboard system memory in 16 GB and
8 GB configurations
Yet, in chapter 5, pages 30 and 31, there is a procedure to remove and replace the memory.
Give me a few minutes, and I will post a screenshot of the HWINFO report for my 15-00047nr memory config.
I have to fire up my notebook.
I have never, ever seen a memory report like this.
I have zipped up and attached the utility below and you can run it on a PC with removable memory and you will see all kinds of info regarding the memory installed in a notebook or desktop PC.
If there is a chance you can upgrade the memory, buy it because this notebook is awesome.
I swore I would never buy any AMD PC and this has changed my mind.
My notebook only has the Ryzen 4500 processor. With 16 GB of memory and the NVMe SSD, this thing flies.

Check this page, they seem to upgrade this model up to 32GB

I'm still not convinced based on that memory report screen shot I had posted, and here is the Crucial memory report for the
