Maybe HP uses whatever brand of memory they have on hand when they put together the laptop, but the person of whom I posted a picture of the 2X16GB TeamGroup posted this picture of the original memory and it's Micron brand, not Samsung :

Good news, I upgraded mine to 32GB DDR4 3200 using this RAM from Amazon. https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B08C4X9VR5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It installed and was automatically detected and recognized by the system on restart.

I upgraded too to 32GB using this :

Team Elite 32GB (2 x 16GB) 260-Pin DDR4 SO-DIMM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) Laptop Memory Model TED432G320... 

I paid 128$ CAN + 8$ shipping + tax = 156.34$ CAN. Just checked now and price is 132$ + 20$ shipping + tax, so something like 175$ CAN.

Installation went without any problems and laptop is working like those 32GB we there all along !

Hello Everyone

I also recently purchased HP ENVY x360 15-ee0003ca 2-in-1, it initially comes with 8GB ram which I would like to upgrade to 64GB if possible as most of my work revolves around virtual machines. I want to place 32GB in slot one and leave the second slot empty. Will that work?
