Hi. I've bought 2 slots of 4g ram Crucial and i want to upgrade my 4 gb ram from factory.  I've read that the second slot is under de laptop's keyboard. Is that true?

After i have removed the first 2 gb slot and replaced it with and 4 gb slot the laptop stopped running ( it's rebooting itsself after start button it's pressed).

Hi:

if you read the discussion I linked you too, I have posted the link to the memory that works.

The memory you installed won't work for at least two reasons:

It has to be 1333 MHz, not 1600, and it has to be 1.5V (DDR3), not 1.35V (DDR3L).

Hi:

You have to be very picky regarding the memory you install in any HP notebook with a Mobile Intel Series 5 chipset like your has.

Please see this discussion and the link I posted within that discussion for more details...

My product is 2 x 4gb ddr3l- 1600 sodimm 1.35V cl11 . I've managed to replace both slots but is still retarting so i had to change to default 4gb ram.  My processor is i5 M 520 2.4 ghz.

Can  you recommend some good slots for my laptop ?

Hi.

I've sent the message and after that i've started to read the discussions. In the end i found out that i need 1333 mhz.

Thank you very , ultra much for the reply. I wish you good luck and a very nice day.

You're very welcome.

Also make sure the memory you get is 1.5V and is low density (low density memory has 8 little black memory squares on each side of the circuit board, not 4).

You have a nice day too!

If I will buy 2 pieces of this memory http://www.emag.ro/memorie-kingston-8gb-sodimm-ddr3-1333mhz-cl11-1-5v-kcp313sd8-8/pd/DKMNV3B...  will It work or shall i stick to the 4 gb slot?

Hi:

Your notebook is only supported for 4 GB per slot.

Now, some folks have installed 8 GB modules if they have an Intel quad core processor (such as the i7-840QM for example).  But this is not according to the specifications, and I cannot guarantee it will work.

If your mobile workstation only has a dual core processor, then an 8 GB memory module absolutely will not work.

But yes, that memory chip looks right to me...that is what you should look for in a 4 GB memory module as well.

I have a dual core. So I will buy this component http://www.emag.ro/memorie-kingston-4gb-sodimm-ddr3-1333mhz-kcp313ss8-4/pd/D9DNV3BBM/  . Thank's a lot again. Be blessed.

Anytime.

Glad to have been of assistance.

You should be good to go with the 4 GB Kingston memory you posted.
