HP ENVY x360 Laptop - 13-ay0008ca
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello! I purchased my laptop in late 2020, and essentially never really used the laptop. I have a much more powerful desktop that I used everyday, and the laptop just sat on my desk. I would use it occasionally for taking notes during lectures, but no misuse at all. Today, I picked up my laptop to transfer something over onto an SD card, and I noticed that the hinge on the left side had broken. I literally have barely used this laptop over the year and half that I've had it, so I was shocked to see this. After some searching on the internet, I found that this was a common problem with this specific model. I looked around a bit, and couldn't find any official replacements, but regardless I feel it's a bit strange that I would have to pay to replace something that was clearly a engineering error. Was wondering if I could get any help on this. Don't really want to pay but if it comes down to it, and it isn't super expensive, as I barely even use the laptop, would be down.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,
I understand your HP notebook hinge is separating from the unit, to fix this issue your computer needs to be repaired.
