Product: OMEN 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-b1000 (603T5AV)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

HP OMEN 16 not charging, no hdmi detect from USB-C G5 Essential Dock

 

Icon on side of case shows thunderbolt next to USB-C port, so I am confused as to why it will not charge.

 

What should I look for in device manager to understand what the port does and not support?

No your machine requires high wattage chargers and your USB-C G5 Essential Dock does NOT have. The dock should be able to charge your during overnight or when off/idle.
