I own a HP Pavilion x360 purchased in 2017 and having 13 months of extended warranty remaining. I have an issue in my battery and it is recommended to replace the battery. I was told by the support staff that battery's are not covered under extended warranty. But, as per the hp site "https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c05843717",
Standard, non-removable battery: The battery is also covered under any extended warranty purchased for the notebook up to a maximum of 3 years.
So why should not my battery be replaced under warranty?

You make a very strong case for yourself and I always understood that the non-customer removeable battery is treated as any other component for warranty purposes but the participants in this User Forum cannot authorize warranty work. We can escalate to HP employees and I have done so. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
