Yes, there is something wrong with the way the installation media is being created or Windows doesn't like the media you are using.
As I wrote above, I have never used FAT 32 to create installation media--always NTFS and never had a problem in the past.

In the end I didn't use any Rufus but had a bootable USB created directly with MediaCreationTool_22H2 and in FAT32 format and suddenly the installation worked without a problem.
I don't know, you write that you only use NTFS, I don't remember how I last configured it for the Windows 11 installation, but I really saw somewhere that the FAT32 format was necessary, but Rufus didn't offer it at all, even with a separate download both 32-bit and 64-bit versions. Anyway, I have the dv6700 installed successfully now. I'll get back to you when I get everything working, especially this dv1000 with windows 10 and SSD, if it runs. But I still don't get it.

So after a few installed programs, my whole system crashed in such a way that recovery is no longer possible. At first you couldn't just click on the icons (It seemed like the system wouldn't boot completely), now the blue screen pops up when starting the system - so completely broken. I guess I should have restarted the device after installing each program when asked, which I unfortunately did, and I may have installed something I shouldn't have. So I will repeat the whole installation. Mysteriously, the installation media also got damaged, when I reinstalled it told me that some necessary files were missing. Now I haven't had the chance to reconfigure the installation media, so I won't be able to re-install until after the weekend. (I don't have internet here).
But I have successfully installed 32bit Windows 10 on dv1000 with SSD. But no other stuff or drivers yet (wasn't connected to the internet).
So at least some success 😄 When it's going well, it's going well 😄

Hi, please speakers on this dv1000 in installed Windows 10 32-bit are not working. But headphones by jack output works
I installed Connexant High Definition Audio - Sp35682.exe - from Driver Scape (The Google found). There is not any error in the Device Manager, but the sound from the speakers does not work.

The only suggestion I can offer would be to try the Vista audio driver from the support page.

In the end, the same driver as for Win XP helped me, the one for Win Vista did not help.
But I still have a problem with playing videos in VLC Media Player, only the sound plays, the video does not work at all - there is only a solid pink area. But the video in Media Player Classic works normally (I installed the latest K-lite Codecs). But VLC uses its own, is it possible that the graphics card would not be enough for VLC?

Unfortunately, that I do not know.
I never used VLC on a notebook that old.
If WMP classic works, you may as well use that.
I used old HP Cyberlink programs on old notebooks.
I have shared a link with you to my Skydrive folder.
If you want to try the ones I have used, download, unzip and run the setup application from the file labeled DVD8SE.zip, or WINDVD5.zip.
I think that WINDVD5 may work better for your model.

Thanks, the player works for me. So this is directly for playing DVD movies? That will also come in handy sometime, I'll use it on the dv6700 as well.
I would hereby declare the solution of my dv1000 successfully completed, now I can use it comfortably. USB 3.0 on an inserted ExpressCard 54 mm in Win 10 also works for me. The IR remote also worked in Win XP, not yet tested in Win 10 (the laptop finally has it). I have about 4 remote controls in total and only one of them works (they are not all the same, maybe they originally belonged to other laptops), in the dv6700 Special Edition, the same one worked in Win 10.
Summary:
So I have a functional (as far as possible) version with Win XP-32-bit on a 320 GB HDD and a version with Win 10-32-bit on a 250 GB SSD.
Paul_Tikkanen, thank you so much for everything, support, advice, SW etc... I definitely couldn't have done it without you.
I'll write a treatise about it later, how the rebuilding and installation of the laptop went, so that it can serve as a guide or motivation for others.
I would need to know, how are attachments added to the forum please?
