My Battery is swelling and has caused the trackpad to pop up. The laptop is just out of warranty and I am in China now. I cannot find a new battery for it. I cannot get from HP in China. They told me the battery for spectre x360 15 in China is different from the one I bought.

I would remove the battery so it doesn't warp your touchpad. Use the Spare parts number on the label to do an online search for battery. You may also be able to get it from HP parts but most likely Amazon will be the best source to get it shipped to China.

I searched on the HP forums. There are plenty of customers have the same issue about their spectre x360. Obviously this is a serious battery quality problem. Hope my battery can be replaced for free. Thank you

There are at least four different posts about this issue. Is HP going to do something about this? An otherwise quality laptop but they should recall the battery and provide a free replacement or solution.

UPDATE as of 12/11/18
Replaced the battery myself, thanks to several youtube videos on how to open the laptop, etc. Easy to do. But no thanks to HP or help from them. They don't even sell the replacement battery. Nor does it show up as recalled, as another person posted. It burns me to have to spend $100 more on an already expensive laptop.
Ended up purchasing a battery from this place: Impact computers: https://www.impactcomputers.com/902499-856.html.
Very quick turnaround and communication via email re: order processing and shipping. $107.44

The trackpad, space bar and mouse clicking now works. Was concerned there might be damage to it from the swelling but all fell back into place. Whew!
