HP Spectre X360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My  HP Spectre X360 motherboard overheated 5 days ago.  I take really good care of my laptop, when all of a sudden it went completely dead.  Cannot charge or turn on.  My laptop is only 2 years old and to me it was a major investment.  Bought a new charger in case it was the charger but the charging light does not even turn on.   I took my precious laptop to a certified HP service center and they said motherboard overheated and burned and apparently is a common issue with HP Spectre laptops.  They had multiple customers with the same issue same laptop model.   HP should recall these laptops, how can the motherboard burning be a common issue!

To get it diagnosed was $100 and then I was very disappointed to find the the cost of these replacement parts and repair would be around $650, which is around 60% of the cost of the laptop itself!! This was incredibly disappointing news to hear especially since this laptop is only two years old  and is the highest end model.  In addition, I now have friends and family who got this laptop based on my recommendation and will likely suffer from the same issue.

As of now, I will no longer be recommending this product and will continue to spread the word.

Is there any way this laptop can be returned or repaired for free by HP?   Why hasn't HP recalled these laptops, the motherboard burned! this is a hazard issue!

HP Support please contact me asap.

thank you,

**A very disappointed customer
