HP Spectre x360 - 15-ch011d
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Our HP Spectre x360 - 15-ch011d has been rendered useless due to a swollen battery.  It does not lie flat, the space bar stopped working, and the trackpad started popping up on one side.  It's been gradual, but is no longer usable.

It appears there are a few other posts similar to this (and the links below are not fully representative what you find via a search engine:)

HP Spectre x360 warped and won't lay flat

I realize the machine is out of warranty, but the battery swelling as noted rendered the machine unusable after just a couple of years.  It was regularly unplugged, plugged back in, and used properly.  It's the first time I've had a LiON battery in a laptop do this, and given the bevy of posts for this particular model, I wanted to add additional information to the mix.

I looked for recalls and could not find any.

Since I am not the only one, I wanted to add one more questionable experience into the mix
