You're very welcome.

The BIOS updates for the dv6700 are not the same as the BIOS update you need for the older dv6240eu.

The dv6700 has a newer update than the one I gave you, and it is different.

You shouldn't have to update the BIOS in your dv6000 to install the TL-60.

But if you plan on running W7 or newer on it you may want to update it in XP or Vista because of what the F.43 update fixes:

- Fixes an issue where a message that says to replace the battery is incorrectly displayed when upgrading the operating system to a Microsoft Windows 7 Operating System.

Sure, thanks a lot.
I would like to get Win 10 or 11 up and running again. 24H2 should also work on old devices.

Then I have another problem with my dv1000 - OS Win 10 - 32 bit, as we discussed earlier. I don't want to create a new post (I won't be able to respond to the old one).
The computer works normally without the internet, but when I turn on Wifi, something happens after a while, and a blue screen of death appears on the screen, I don't know the error code now, but when I turn it on again, I can find out.
I did all the updates completely normally, although some of them were problematic, so I tried it repeatedly over and over again. And it's been doing it practically ever since. Has the Wifi adapter driver somehow become corrupted?
Would it be enough to just reinstall the Wifi driver?

You're very welcome.

On your first question, W11 24H2 will not run on any PC where the processor doesn't support Intel SSE4.2 or AMD SSE4A.

You can install the free CPU-Z or HWINFO apps to see if your processors support those features.  I doubt they will.

I know that for Intel, you have to have a 1st generation core processor or newer for it to support SSE4.2.

I don't know which AMD processors support AMD SSE4A

You have to leave any PC that doesn't meet those requirements on W11 23H2

Here's an article about that:

Microsoft blocks some PCs from Windows 11 24H2 — CPU must support SSE4.2 or the OS will not boot | T...

Micrsoft upped the processor requirements

Unfortunately, I wouldn't know what to tell you about the Wi-Fi issue on the dv1000 because W10 installs the latest driver that would have been available for the model Wi-Fi adapter your notebook comes with.

What model Wi-Fi adapter does your dv1000 come with?

Okay, but how do I find out in Device Manager what model of wifi adapter I have?

This is the error, what I had there.

Does seem to be a driver issue.

The model of the wifi adapter should be listed under the Network Adapters device manager category.

There are:

Intel(R) PRO/100 VE Network Connection

Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection

See if installing this W7 32 bit Wi-Fi driver helps any:

Yesterday I tried to run the command to check the status of system files - sfc /scannow from the Command Prompt. Then some repair was performed, it found some damaged or missing files and since then it's been somewhat quiet and wifi works.
When I want to update the wifi driver that you sent me here, it tells me that I already have the latest driver. The driver cannot be installed, so it is probably not needed. It doesn't work either, if I uninstall the device, the same thing appears again with the driver.

When I directly run the file, it just runs a line, but I'm not informed about the installation status, so I don't know if the driver will be installed.
But now everything works.
Thanks for now.

You're very welcome.

Glad the Wi-Fi is working again without crashing the notebook.
