HP pavilion gaming 15
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've purchased the laptop about a week ago, so it overheating can't be the cause of dust or anything like that.
It's kinda ridiculous, GPU temperature is 45°C when it's not running anything but chrome, and when I try to launch and play an actual game it goes up to 65-70°C and then my laptop turns off after about 30-50 minutes.
I've updated the Drivers, uptdated the Bios and optimised the laptop's energy consumption, also made sure it stands on a hard flat surface with some space around it when I game. No results.
Please help me resolve this, because in every other aspect I very much enjoy Pavilion gaming 15. Would be a great shame to return it.

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I reviewed your post and I understand that the computer is overheating and turning off after 30 to 50 minutes of gaming.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you follow the steps in the below article and perform a reset on the computer and check if it helps.
