Hi:
The notebook has two memory slots since it has an Intel core processor according to the specifications.
The notebook can support 2 x 8 GB of DDR4-3200 CL22 memory.

If you wanted to install more memory than that, you can run this command to see if that would be possible:
1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator. This will open the command prompt.
2. Once command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacity and hit enter. There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your notebook's motherboard can support.
The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.
Below is the link to the service teardown video:
Removing & replacing parts for HP 14-dq0000/d6000 | HP Support
The video only shows one memory slot because it is probably for the models that come with Intel Pentium processors.
If you look at the parts list link below and click on the camera icon to the left of the motherboard part number, you will see that your PC's motherboard has two memory slots.

Hi,
Thank you very much for your helpful response. I ran the command you suggested, and it turns out that my laptop supports 2 RAM slots and up to 32 GB of memory, which is great news!
I'm planning to upgrade by adding 16 GB of RAM, but I'm still undecided between going with Samsung or Crucial memory.
Do you have any recommendation or preference between the two in terms of compatibility or performance for my model?
Thanks again for your support!

You're very welcome.
Unfortunately, I don't know what 16 GB Samsung memory part number would work in your notebook.
Just make sure it is CL22.
Crucial has memory that they indicate is compatible with your notebook's model series:

This memory should also work:

Hi again,
I just have one more question:
If I install only one 16 GB RAM module, will that work fine with my notebook? Or is it better to install two modules to use both slots for better performance (dual channel)?
At the moment, I’m planning to upgrade with just a single 16 GB module, but I want to make sure this won’t affect performance or compatibility.
Thanks again for your help!

You're very welcome.
I don't know how easy it is to remove the bottom cover, so I recommend if you eventually plan on maxing out the memory you may want to take the notebook apart once and be done with it.
20 GB of memory will work fine, but it will only run in single channel mode since memory needs to be installed in matching capacities for it to run in the higher performing dual channel mode.
