HP 245 G7 Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi All,

I have below laptop.

HP 245 G7 Laptop 1S3P0PA (AMD Ryzen 3-3250U)

Kindly tell if it supports nvme m.2 ssd. or it supports m.2 msata. I am getting mixed responses so I am very much confused.

I need to puchase this ssd if it supports it: Crucial P2 250GB 3D NAND NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD Up to 2400MB/s - CT250P2SSD8

Please reponse ASAP as I have already made a buy order and after purchase got the mixed reponses in comments

You're very welcome.

Yes, that is the M.2 slot that will support your Crucial P2 NVMe SSD.

If you have not ordered it yet, I recommend that you order the Western Digital Blue SN570 NVMe SSD instead because it will provide better performance than the Crucial P2.

Hi:

Yes, since your notebook has a Ryzen processor, the M.2 slot supports NVMe SSD's.

If your 245 G7 had come with one of the 7th gen AMD 'A' series processors, then only SATA SSD's would be supported.

Here is a YouTube video which clearly shows that a NVMe SSD will work just fine in a 245 G7 with the Ryzen processor:

Hello my dear friend. Thanks for your reply.

I was confused with so many comments and replies that I got compelled to open the laptop.

Can you please confirm from the image that it will accept nvme m.2.
