Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

My laptop is a little over a year old and the hinge completely destroyed on me when I attempted to open the top portion like any other day. Screws flew everywhere and black hinge cover completely fell off. I looked to see if the damage was repairable and screen became completely detached from the bottom portion. It is connected by few wires. I called and I was told it is not covered under warranty and would cost the amount I purchased the thing brand new. This is clearly a designer flaw and no damage was done to laptop on my end.  I am really disappointed in HP as a company and don't foresee future purchases. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this issue? I desperately need my laptop for school and work. Any help is much appreciated.

But much worse
