How do I PERMANENTLY disable touch pad on laptop????
I KNOW how to disable but every time I restart computer - there
it is ON AGAIN....
hp pavilion dv7 6c27cl.
Win 7 64 bit.
I cant believe I'm going to have to download some software or drives to fix this.
very frustrating.

I'm sorry to hear that didn't work for you.
To better assist you can you please provide the product/model number of your laptop? If you're not sure how to do this I've included a document on how to find it.

Hi, I have the same issue - reinstalls after reboot, & for me, therein lies the issue; via Device Manageer, I am not gven the option to DIsable, only to Uninstall, which only works for the subsuqent reboot, after tham the next reboot just reinstalls it.
Any help will be appreciated - thanks so much!
