Hi, My laptops audio suddenly stopped working one day and I did some research and found that something was wrong with the audio driver on my device, so I uninstalled the Conexant smart audio driver on my laptop and installed the backup one stored in the computer called high definition audio device. My audio began to work again, however, the mute button (f6) light does not work anymore. Please help me find the solution to this!

Hi Krazytoad, do you want me to download and install the chipset driver, audio driver, and the bios? Also, I am unable to open the audio driver link, it is sending me to an "unexpected error has occurred page". Thanks!

Yes please download those drivers. I have checked the Link for the Audio driver once again and it's working. Please try using a different browser to open the links.
Thanks

Hey, @the_fossette so after installing the updates and new drivers the sound and the f6 light began to work again, but, after my computer went to sleep mode and I opened the laptop up again the sound stopped working and light is still working. Now the sound isn't working.

I suggest running msconfig.exe and click on the Boot tab.
Click the Advanced options button, check the Maximum memory box, and set the value to 3072.
Let me know how it goes.
