hi, i took a wifi card from Hp Probook 4540s,  and then i puted this card to hp pavilion g6 1262er, now problem is notebook not loading(but pavilions wifi card working on 4540s without any problem), cuz giving error on booting time:

Wireless Module not supported

 

The system has deteted a Wireless modue Installed in the system is not supported.  System halted.  Please remove device and restart.

if i remove card from nbook then windows loading well. What i can do for using 4540s wifi card on pavilion g6 ?

Unfortunately, I don't know of any BIOS modifications or files to overwrite the whitelist.

 

I recommend that if you want to find information on that you do a search on a BIOS modification website.

Just bear in mind that many times you can completely wreck your notebook by trying to install a modified BIOS, so you do so at your own risk.

Hi:

 

Unfortunately, you cannot use any other model wifi card other than the one that came with your notebook because as you just found out, your notebook has a BIOS whitelist which prevents any other wifi card than the one that came with your notebook from working.

if u know can u say please, my bios have some patch to allow using other hp's wifi card which is similar to mine?
