How do I know the maximum RAM capacity of my laptop?. I want to add more.

Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 5500U, 2.10GHz

RAM: 8 GB Samsung, 3200MHz.

The service manual (on page 1) indicates that your model supports 16 GB (2x8 GB) DDR4-3200 memory.

Maintenance and Service Guide

 

Crucial reports that your model supports max 32 GB (2x16 GB) DDR4-3200 RAM.

HP Pavilion 15-eh1000 | SSD & RAM Upgrades | crucial.com

 

Click the link below and run the wmic command to find the max RAM capacity your model can handle. If it reports 32 GB, your notebook certainly supports 2x16 GB memory.

I checked it with the cmd and it certainly can handle 32gb.
