Good afternoon,
It's all the day that I try to update the BIOS on my HP Victus 16 from the version F.11 to F.15 Rev.1. I downloaded it from HP site, I tried to started it but I received only the error: "The application contain a Vulnerable driver..." or you can start the installation after accepting Eula but nothing will happen.
Can you please give me any suggestions?
Best regards
Valmart

4 Uncheck/unselect all the things present in Core Isolation details
5 Reboot the pc
6 Access again to the PC and open Regedit and navigate and change the reg Key to 0. You will have 1 by default.

Hi,
I wanted to update to see if they finally enable the function “Adaptive Battery Optimizer” because is present but you can’t modify the option to preserve the battery.
In any case I tried to download the version F.14 Rev.A and F.13 same problem.

hi
curious to have the same error each time, the error is indeed from the file, and not something else..
I don't know if I can find an answer
for the battery, it is not mentioned in the corrections, nor would it change anything
in the meantime, this does not seem new
I don't have time to read everything, but see if this helps:

- HP Pavilion Gaming 17-cd0000 Laptop PC
- OMEN by HP 15-dh0000 Laptop PC
- OMEN by HP 17-cb0000 Laptop PC
- OMEN X by HP 15-dg0000 Laptop PC
does not seem to be specified for your model, but if greyed out, it must be provided, I don't really know there
if you are still under warranty, I advise you to contact hp for this bios problem!
check this
Determine if protective measures have been activated:
[edit]
unfortunately I looked at several, links, all the same problem, and even hp agents do not give a solution!
try reading a little more, I gave up on page 2

Hi,
I tried to read some of the topic but I also didn't find nothing related to my HP Victus 16.
I will try to open during next week a ticket to the support center and we will see the answer.
I will also maybe post in the discussion the resolution of the problem if it exist.
Thanks a lot.
Best regards

Greetings,
I needed to refresh to check whether they at long last empower the capability "Versatile Battery Analyzer" in light of the fact that is available however you can't alter the choice to save the battery.
Anyway, I attempted to download the rendition F.14 Rev.A and F.13 same issue.

Hi Thor128,
It really depends on how you feel confident on doing this modification.
I think the difference between F14 and F15 are minimal like Prométhée write:
ENHANCEMENTS:
- Provides support for Windows 11 22H2.
- Updates the code for 2022.1 IPU security enhancement.
The complexity is related to features of W11 that block some drivers via blocklist:
"...Microsoft introduced the vulnerable driver blocklist as an optional feature in Windows 10, version 1809. The blocklist is enabled on systems that enable Hypervisor-protected Code Integrity (HVCI) or run Windows in S Mode. Starting with Windows 11, version 22H2, the blocklist is also enabled by default on all devices..." (reference https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/topic/kb5020779-the-vulnerable-driver-blocklist-after-the-octobe...).
If you have any doubt write here without any problem.
Best regards
Valmart
