Product: HP ENVY 17 Laptop PC 17-ch2000 (4U9X6AV)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just bought a new HP Envy 17-ch2000 laptop with backlit keyboard. I can turn the backlighting on or off and can change the brightness setting but even on the brightest setting, the backlighting is too dim. I compared it side by side with an Envy 17-cr0000  and there is a significant different in the brightness of the backlighting in the two laptops. I can't find any info on anything that I can do to change it. Any recommendations?

I have a similar problem, cannot turn off the backlit KYBD...

 

Try using your HP PC diagnostics to see if your BIOS can be updated, that may fix it.
