HP Pavilion Gaming – 15-dk1002nw (1Q9K2EA#AKD)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello

I have just bought HP Pavilion Gaming – 15-dk1002nw (1Q9K2EA#AKD).

I can’t turn on keyboard backlit.

I have tried to turn this in BIOS, but there is no option in version 13F (bios simulator is here: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06527734 )

Of course, I tried also using F5 and F5 with Fn key – nothing happened.

Notebook was with FreeDOS, so I have bought and downloaded Windows 10 Home  (64bit) from Microsoft site. Installed version is 20H2 (19042.572). Generally, there is problem with drivers. Almost all drivers downloaded from product website (https://support.hp.com/pl-pl/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-gaming-15-dk1000-laptop-pc-series/32885...) doesn’t support 19042 compilation.

Could anybody help me with this problem please?

Thank you for your post.
Yes, I'm sure that backlight should be present on this model (in this product sheet where is specified backlight keyboard on second page - document available only in polish language).
I have tried everything specified on https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c01612362

In my version of BIOS (13.F) there is no section "Advanced". Please look at page with simulation of my version: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06527734

On page https://support.hp.com/lv-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-gaming-15-dk1000-laptop-pc-series/32885... there are two versions of BIOS for series dk-1000 laptops:

- F.13 Rev. A (installed on my laptop)

- F.33 Rev. A

Is it possible to install F.33 version?
