As soon as I remove the power plug from my laptop, it immediately shuts off. This started happening two days ago. Desktop icon says 94% available (plugged in, charging) at present. Ran the diagnostic at boot by pressing F2 key and ran battery test. Result was
Charge capacity: 74% Battery Status OK(0)
Battery age: 1522 days

How many cycles? The battery is 4.2 years old. Replacing the battery is the logical next step. The simple "OK" is not actually very helpful like the idiot light on a car dashboard.

A new battery solved the problem. I guess the battery test isn't all its cracked up to be.
