I recently replaced my original ram with TEAMGROUP Elite DDR3L 16GB (2x8) (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0191WAGE2/?th=1) and for the first week things were fine, no issues. Then I started to experience the occasional crash, black screen then auto restart, usually while playing a game. This happened once every few days. Recently the frequency of crashes has increased, I had two blue screen crashes within hours today and these were while internet browsing. I have updated drivers, BIOS and scanned with HP PC Hardware Diagnostics but no errors were found.
I checked the ram with Windows Memory Diagnostic and MemTest86 but no errors were found. If the ram is not faulty, does that mean it is incompatible? I emailed TEAMGROUP but they told me to ask HP.
My Laptop is a HP Notebook - 15-ba057nr https://support.hp.com/gb-en/document/c05829258. It should be noted that the box I purchased my laptop in has the ram listed as 4096MB DDR3 SDRAM. The original ram in my laptop were 2 sticks of ADATA AO1L16BC2N1-BQHS, 2GB 1RX18 PC3L-12800S-11, 1.35V.
