So I have been having issues with my laptop & I am not tech savy enough to fix it without having someone fix it & wait for it to be returned. it started with update problem, when I tried to install update, it would take hours so I would do it overnight. I wake up & see it done. However one day I did it before i went to work & when I cam back, it wasnt done so I waited. At some point it stops the update & undoes the changes. I fear it never updated & no idea how to fix it.

The second is more recent that it would restart on its own, twice now at the same time, between 6 & 7pm, but i made no changes to cause it.

Maybe problem 1 is causing this, but again I dont know how to fix it at home & would hate to have it fixed & take days before I get it back. Any way I can fix it at home? I can totally take a day to just fixing it, just need to know how if possible.

Not sure if it matters but I got this computer 2016 so it's 4 years old.
