There is a problem with my laptop's left hinge. I opened my laptop asusual and used it normally , while closing i was really shocked to see the bolts of the Left hinge to be dropped and I was unable to close the screen fully. It started to form a gap between the dispaly screen and the backpanel steel case. When I try to close or open it the gap seems to be increasing eventually and It was visible that hinge has been broken. It is sad to see these type of things for a laptop which is expensive. I reached to near by store regarding that but No luck.
They said that they will not repair this kind of things and continues to say that.l, If they do it anyhow they can't guarantee to handover me the PC as before and they suggests that to through it somewhere and buy a new one.. It is the only HP recognised service centre in my city. How a Service center guy say like that and why there is No service for this things..
He also mentions that we need to replace the whole back panel and doesn't guarantee about the touch screen after reparing..and it may cost around almost half the price of the laptop in indian currency.. Does it cost that much just for a hinge loss which has also happened itself.I mean without dropping or hitting it...
Kindly please help me regarding this, please as i am stuck in a difficult situation of work from home and laptop issue. And the experience of mine with this expensive model of hp has made me believe not to buy any product of hp anymore.
