Hi Riddle_Decipher, my laptop model is HP 15-bs013dx Windows 10 64 bit
ProdID 1TJ81UA#ABA
SN# [edit]
I have a question about my m2 SSD port. I believe it's SATA and not NVME can you confirm? What interface? is it sata 1,2,3 or pci-e? What ssd would fit my m2 socket? Is there a limit on how many gb it can have? What ssd would you recommend for my computer? Picture below of m2 socket and computer Thank you!

Here's the Service Manual:
If it had a proper M.2 slot it could only support a SATA M.2 disk. Unfortunately what you have shown in the picture is the place where an M.2 slot would be. You should not be able to see those gold connectors they should be inside a box with two separate chambers. So, sorry to say you will not be installing an M.2 disk on that laptop.

Ok since there is a place for the m2 setup that would mean it is upgradable correct? I'm sure there is an adapter with that box to connect to that slot. In another post with someone who has the same specs as me you said it could be done.

I have neither the Pentium or Celeron processor I have core. I have also seen in other posts and videos where the m2 ssd was installed directly into this port with no adaper or box. Why would my system not be upgradable while others with the exact model are? There seems to be a lot of confusion with this topic. If I can find it I will send you a reply from hp to another person with the bs013dx saying it could be done.

I don't know why but the picture you posted shows something you cannot plug your M.2 disk into. Go ahead and give it a try but it looks like there will be nothing to hold the gold lead end of the disk in. There is no adapter or any other extra part that could help you. There should just be an M.2 slot there. I have seen lots of them and that is not quite what they look like. It frequently occurs that the images in the Service Manual are not exactly like what is delivered in the real world. You linked to another set of pictures in another thread. That picture in the other thread shows an M.2 slot. It is the black plastic box and yours looks more open. I could be wrong and it could just be the angle at which you took the picture. If the gold leads of the M.2 disk fit in and hold you are good to go.
