New Battery only last 2 hours

The battery for my new bought laptop last only 2 hours after fully charge for 3 hours. This continue to be the problem even after I changed the power management or limited downloading any internet streaming - not even running any games. I even put it in battery saver mode no differenve I done the hp diagnostic tools as suggested and it said the battery was fine - that is wierd. I sent it to HP Care and it was returned to me with other problems fixed but the battery issue remained. I only owned the laptop for only two weeks i do not know why the battery life on the laptop is so bad. The sticker on the laptop indicates that batter life should be 7 to 9 hours. But i Charge for at least 3 hours only to recieve 2 hours of charge

How do I best deal with this issue? Should I send it back to service center? I notice few comments in regards to battery issue from this laptop- was this the same and how it get fixed?

Hello,

Most companies advertise battery life as being 3-4 times greater than what a normal user would actually get while browsing the internet or watching videos.

The only way you can get 7-9 hours of power out of your entry-level 3 cell, 31Wh battery is if you boot into Windows with no programs open, no internet connection, no programs running in the background and brightness turned all the way down.

For normal use, 2-3 hours is decent. 4-5 hours is amazing for the higher-end models.

You could also install 3rd party battery testers to confirm this.

Hi, is your latop battery built-in? Like you cannot remove it unless you unscrew the whole floor of your latop? Because I'm having the same problem as well, my battery only last for 2 hours and i just recently bought it. Can you help me please.
