Common problems for Battery

The cloned disk didn't work, neither did fresh Windows install from usb-stick with the new driver on the stick and manual driver update before windows fresh install, the NVMe disk is not showing up.

So I decided for some basic step by step testing:
1, Put the original m.2 SATA disc back in

2. Updated with the newest RST driver for Intel 8th gen (17.11.3.1010.2)

3, First time I opted with the basic AHCI mode, the driver version was found updated, but stayed in pure SATA/AHCI mode (by the name)

4. 2nd time I opted with the recommended Intel RST premium mode, the driver version was found updated, and the name showed SATA/NVMe mode, promising!

5, I restarted and the SATA/NVMe mode was still there, good!

6. I shut down, took out the battery, drained the power with the power button, and restarted to force a fresh BIOS start

7. The boot disk failed !!!!!  😞     (still the original SATA m.2 disk)

8. I clicked ok, the computer restarted, and now the boot was sucessfull!!

9. Checking the device manager now the SATA/NVMe driver was gone!

The  SATA/AHCI was back 😞     (still the latest version)

SO NOW, WHAT CAN BE DONE?           ANY SUGGESTIONS?

My suggestion would be to give up on the project while the PC is still working.

My current hypothesis is that my 8th gen Intel HP 15-ck004no for some reason is not compatible with the latest Intel RST drivers for my processor, while the latest SATA/AHCI drivers seems ok.

Can one start a case with the HP support and ask them to work out compatible drivers with Intel and release an official HP update?

To me, this looks like some kind of failure from HP to deliver the stated function/compability on this computer. I just wonder how did they manage to produce and ship some NVMe versions to the custumers? Maybe the Samsung SM951 SM/PM961 oem disks actually managed to boot on the SATA/AHCI drivers?     ( I think I sound stupid when I am even considering this possibility... 😤 )
