Common problems for Battery
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about: Battery Reports, Hold a charge, Test and Calibrating Battery . Check out this link: Is your notebook plugged in and not charging?

I am using an HP laptop that currently supports only 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. I understand that it does not support 5 GHz connectivity.

I would like to know if it is possible to upgrade the Wi-Fi capability by replacing any internal component (such as the Wi-Fi card) through an authorized HP service center.

Could you please help me with the following:

  • Whether my laptop model supports upgrading to a dual-band (2.4 GHz + 5 GHz) Wi-Fi card
  • If such an upgrade is officially supported by HP
  • Approximate cost and availability of the required parts
  • Nearest authorized HP service center where I can get this done

Please let me know if you need my laptop model number or serial number for further assistance.

Hello @abcaaditya41 ,

Welcome to the HP community.

It would help if you could specify the model. Then other volunteers can answer.

This is just a Peer-to-peer community forum and not HP Support. We are all just Volunteers.

If no other volunteers reply, I suggest you contact our Support organization in your region. Details are in my Signature.

Best Regards

@abcaaditya41

You would have to replace the Wi-Fi card yourself or take the notebook to your local PC repair shop.

HP would not do the work for you.

I can't provide any more info than that until you provide the full model number or product number of your notebook.
