Hi:
The Crucial memory report indicates you can:
HP - Compaq HP Victus 16-d1035nt | Memory RAM & SSD Upgrades | Crucial.com
Chapter 1 of the service manual indicates that 2 x 16 GB is the max, but the service manual is for the older model series and is the only one available, and it only has the info for DDR4 memory.
Maintenance and Service Guide (hp.com)
The last page of this discussion indicates the forum member installed 2 x 32 GB of memory in his 16-d1030np notebook, but notice the problems encountered (the BIOS is reporting 0MB of RAM and boot up takes much longer than previously).
You may just want to stick with 2 x 16 GB of memory for best results.

Yes, that is indicating the notebook can support up to 128 GB of memory.
Review my last reply...
Maybe there have been some BIOS updates since that person installed 64 GB of memory that fixed the bugs.
